Mudroom Bench - Mudroom Locker

A mudroom locker is more than just a piece of furniture that stores a limited amount of clothing and other items within the home. These mudroom lockers provide a place to sit down while taking off your outdoor muddy shoes, they allow you to hang your jackets and garments, and they also allow you to store items that you wish to keep close to the entrance of your home.

These lockers can be located in a separate room that is attached to an external facing door, or they can also be positioned in an entranceway or hallway. The mudroom would be an appropriate area to have these mudroom lockers as this is the area most convenient to change into or out of your weather gear.

A mudroom locker normally comes with a bench, some shelves and cupboards and hooks to hang any garments. Within the mudroom bench, you will find more storage space to store anything you like really. This could be shoes, small gardening equipment, perhaps even products for your car. Depending on the size you purchase you can also have a number of shelves and cupboards for extra storage. Make sure that you have enough hooks to hang all your jackets.

Materials vary, but the most popular material is for the locker to be made from wood. This can be any type of wood, some solid or even stained, depending on your preference. Stained wood is cheaper and can be made to match a large number of colors. Solid wood mudroom lockers tend to be very heavy and will cost much more.

A Mudroom locker can be bought online from a number of sites. You will find that they are all flat packed so that they can be easily shipped to your home.
